AGE of Central Texas Partnering with Area Churches for Health & Wellness Town Hall Meeting on April 6th

 

     AGE of Central Texas is partnering with Rehoboth Baptist Church and New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for a free Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, April 6th, at 6:00 p.m.  The event will discuss health and wellness opportunities in the community.

     Rev. Dr. Nathan Robertson, Jr., will open the meeting with a scripture and prayer, along with a welcome message.  Jeneice Hall, Austin Public Health Program Coordinator, will be the keynote speaker to discuss solutions to the health challenges in the community due to COVID-19.

     The program will also include information from Bryan D. Potter, owner of Navigator Health Insurance Consulting, and Rob Faubion from AGE of Central Texas will share resources and program available for older adults and family caregivers.  Rev. Ray Hendricks will close the Town Hall Meeting with closing remarks and the benediction.

     Nurses and students from the University of Texas School of Nursing will also be on-hand with free COVID vaccinations and boosters.  Attendees can also schedule their vaccinations or boosters for future dates.

     A follow-up Heath & Wellness Fair will be held on Saturday, April 30th, from 10:00 am to Noon at the Community Garden at St. John Regular Association Church, located at 7501 Blessing Avenue.  Free COVID vaccinations and boosters will also be available at this event, along with resources and information from community health partners.
