The Round Rock Area Serving Center is a Texas non-profit corporation, also known as the Serving Center, which carries out a community-wide mission of churches, other organizations and individuals serving human needs in the City of Round Rock and surrounding areas. We are here to serve those in need in our community.
For over 35+ years the Round Rock Area Serving Center has been a resource in our community – reaching families and individuals in crisis and serving their needs with assistance, care and support.
Services provided include a food pantry, Amazon home delivery program, clothing & furniture vouchers, Keep Round Rock Warm, community gardens, The Volunteer Center, a charity resale store, Computers for Kids, and financial assistance for utilities, rent, prescriptions, payday loan assistance, transportation, and temporary lodging.
We currently need volunteers to help with our client services. Training will be provided. Client services are located upstairs and volunteers will work with clients over the phone and/or one on one.
Requirements:
There is a minimum 1 year commitment for this volunteer opportunity. Must be available during the day between the hours of 9am and 4pm or Saturday 9-12pm (shifts available). Computer proficient or eager to learn computer skills not limited to, learning our web based platform, scanning, and uploading paper work to add to client's computer profile. Understanding the organizations funding and grants.
