Description

Special event volunteer’s responsibility is to assist in preparing, setting-up, dismantling, and guiding activities during different events and educational programs offered by the museum.  Opportunities may include welcoming visitors during city events in Georgetown’s historic downtown, helping direct guests during events, and assisting with crafts during annual events such as Pioneer Day, Chisholm Trail Day, and Lighting of the Square.  Opportunities are located in both Georgetown and Round Rock; days and times vary.

Every first Friday of the month, 6-9pm, First Fridays
April 6, 10am-3pm, Chisholm Trail Days
April 27, 11am-5pm, Red Poppy Festival
May 4, 10am-3pm, Pioneer Day
September 22, 10am-3pm, Austin Museum Day
November 29, 5-8pm, Lighting of the Square
