Georgetown Palace Theatre will present THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at the Springer Stage from June 3 to July 3. Winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Book and Best Original Score, The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Jazz Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another. When wealthy widow Mrs. Tottenham hosts the wedding of the year, she gets a lot more than a write-up in the society pages. Mix in two lovers, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.

The production is directed by Damon Brown, and choreographed by Courtney Wissinger Eiland. The musical direction is by David Blackburn and the set designed is by Justin Dam.
