GEORGETOWN, TEXAS (January 10) –
Georgetown Palace Theatre will present RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH, from January 21- February 20 at the Springer Stage.
From the songbook of Johnny Cash comes this unique musical about love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, and the healing power of home and family. More than two dozen classic hits—including “I Walk The Line,” “A Boy Named Sue,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” and the title tune— paint a musical portrait of The Man in Black that promises to be a foot-stompin’, crowd-pleasin’ salute to a unique musical legend! Though he is never impersonated, Johnny Cash’s remarkable life story is told through his music, climaxing in a concert that will both move and exhilarate!
The production is directed by Jeff Hinkle, choreographed by Jesee Smart, music-directed by Heather Bishop, set-designed by Justin Dam, and lighting design is by Faith Castaneda. Scenic art is by Barb Jernigan. Jessie Drollette is production stage manager and Stacy Neff is assistant stage manager.
This production will be presented inside at the Springer Stage, the Palace's historic proscenium theatre on Austin Avenue. The theatre will be seated at 100% capacity. Due to high levels of transmission in Williamson County, and to maintain the safety of our patrons, performers, staff, students, and volunteers, the Palace will be requiring masks while indoors at all times for audience members and staff for all performances and concerts.
