Development Initiative Network

We are a Malawian local registered NGO working to create lasting change in vulnerable communities in the Chikwawa district of Malawi. 
We partner with local support groups and organisations to deliver community education and projects in four core areas: 
1. Agricultural development and climate change
2. WASH and health
3. Education and youth development
4. Gender equality, Governance and human rights.
We offer a number of volunteer opportunities where you can lend a helping hand to the community and learn about the inner workings of a grassroots NGO.

Development Initiative Network (DIN Malawi) is a local non-profit organization currently working in the Lower Shire southern region of Malawi. DIN Malawi was established in February 2012 to respond to the needs and challenges affecting communities in Malawi. DIN Malawi was founded by young people to promote information and knowledge sharing among youth and the community. We provide networking opportunities and support services on sexual and reproductive health and rights issues. We advocate for youth-friendly services and policies that address the various SRHR challenges that youth in the district face.

DIN Malawi was also established to give hope and faith to communities especially less privileged, the needy, young women, youth, orphans and vulnerable children through social and economic empowerment. We foster a sharp sense of personal responsibility among the youth for maintaining good economic status, sexual and reproductive health status, and educating this group about their culture, gender, sexual and reproductive rights.
