Who We Are

Sam Bass Community Theatre is the oldest live theatre source for most of Williamson County. We have been producing theatre since 1981, that is 35 years ago! We still produce fantastic live theatre continually,Our performance space, The Old Depot Stage, was the original Depot building for the Union Pacific Railroad that ran through Round Rock, Texas. Originally the building was about half its current size.

In 1981, The Old Depot Stage became our home and in 1984 it was moved to the present location at 600 Lee Street in Memorial Park in Round Rock. Major renovation was needed to turn the Old Depot into the performance space it is today; and as we continue to grow, so does the theatre.

What We Do

We produce a complete 9 show season of live theatrical productions ranging from Classical plays like Shakespeare, to musicals and children's theatre. In addition to producing live theatre we have a very active youth guild which offers classes, workshops, and camps for children ages 5 to 18 years old.
