Changing Expectations

Changing Expectations is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence education and lifelong learning for parents, grandparents, veterans, and seniors in Williamson County. Our mission is to ensure that emerging technologies—especially artificial intelligence—are understandable, accessible, and safe for people of all ages. We design hands-on, welcoming learning experiences that help individuals and families build confidence with AI technology, ask better questions, and make informed decisions in an increasingly AI-driven world.

W are seeking volunteers to do fundraising for the Current AI Literacy Programs • Changing Expectations AI Literacy for Parents and Grandparents This program helps parents and grandparents better understand how artificial intelligence impacts everyday life, education, work, and online safety. Participants learn how tools like ChatGPT work, how AI affects children and families, and how to engage with developing and using AI technology responsibly and confidently.

Changing Expectations AI Literacy Workshop for Seniors Hosted in partnership with Fern Bluff MUD in Round Rock, this in-person workshop provides older adults with hands-on, beginner-friendly exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, along with practical guidance on digital safety, privacy, and everyday use cases.  See the Changing Expectations AI Workshops for Seniors flyer attached to this need.
