Who We Are
Our mission is to match tutors with foster care and unhoused youth to give them the educational support they need to stay in school, improve academic performance, and achieve greater success later in life.
What We Do
Learning Bridge screens and trains community volunteers to tutor foster care and unhoused youth. Volunteers do not have to be educators – just committed adults who will show up each week for a student. Volunteer tutors assist students with homework or work with students on subjects that are challenging to them. The program serves students in K-12th grade in Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell, and Bell counties of Texas and is free to foster care, kinship, and unhoused youth.
