St. David's Round Rock Medical Center Volunteers

At St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center our Volunteers are a vital part of our healthcare team. The men and women who assist patients, staff and visitors throughout the hospital take pride in “providing exceptional care to every person, every day with a spirit of warmth, friendliness and personal pride.” A non-profit organization, the Round Rock Medical Center Volunteers, have been active since 1983. They provide donations and support other non-profit organizations, programs and services in Round Rock and in Williamson County.
At St. David’s Round Rock, we have active Adult Volunteers which includes college students, and teen Volunteers, ages 15 to 17. Teen Volunteers must start their volunteer experience at the beginning of a summer and then may continue to volunteer as time permits into their school year.

Print the application available at this site, complete all information, including the permission form for a background check and fax (512 341-5247) or mail (2400 Round Rock Avenue, Round Rock, Texas 78681). The background check is required for all ages.
Once your application has been received, our Volunteer Manager or a Volunteer Representative will contact you for a personal interview. Group interviews are held once a month and individual interviews are also scheduled.
Individuals are asked to make a commitment to a regular volunteer schedule and devote a minimum of 100 hours of volunteer service to the hospital.
You will also need your immunization record, if born after 1957, and you will be given a TB skin test (no charge) at the time of orientation. Appropriate training will be provided for your assigned area. Volunteers are required to wear a uniform (shirt, vest or smock) that is provided with their own kahki colored slacks or skirt and their own appropriate footwear.
Volunteer Opportunities include -- Information Desks, Nursing and Intensive Care Units, Emergency Department, Clerical Support for various departments, Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation, Food and Nutrition and other assignments.
