Needs From: The Volunteer Center

We are looking for people who can volunteer between 2 - 4 hours per month to help plan, organize, and carry out needs for various activities such as; receptions, city partner events, art exhibit help.

These needs will have more details as specific events get closer.  Please contact us if you're interested in helping.

Currently, a Galleries Committee meets once per month on the 1st Thursday from 6-7:30pm via Zoom.  We are looking to expand passed this group and add new and willing volunteers to our team.

Do you love art?  Would you enjoy organizing exhibits that connect the public with artists creating thoughtful and interesting pieces?

We are looking for volunteers who can create shows using open calls and group invitationals for our current gallery venue; Williamson County Jester Annex (1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock) and Texas State University Round Rock Campus (Avery Building, 1555 University Blvd., Round Rock). Stop by the galleries to see the spaces and the beautiful work on display. 

A background in arts is highly desirable.  Being able to work within a team organization and communicate well is a must.  Positions are approximately 5 hours per month with needed hours ranging between days, evenings and weekends. This is both IN-PERSON and Remote job hours.

Round Rock Arts is an Arts non-profit in Round Rock, TX who works to support the areas creative community with events, activities and resources.  We are looking to rebuild our Volunteers Team to help carry out this vision.

A Volunteer Coordinator would be a key position within RRA.  We are looking for someone who can start right away and work both remotely and in-person as needed.  They would be the go-to person, with additional assistance, for keeping steady management of volunteers, both potential and existing. We are looking for someone who lives in or around the Round Rock, TX area.

Hours would be approximately 5-10 per week and working remotely. 

The following is a description of the duties and experience we're looking for:

Volunteers Coordinator: Manages volunteers and schedules them for specific activities; works with key positions in organization to learn what type of volunteer positions need to be filled; creates online outreach ads for needs; tracks potential volunteer responses; replies to and meets with potential volunteers; conducts orientations and connects volunteers with key people within organization; coordinates volunteer appreciation events and thank you cards.

Ability to learn and work with online volunteer membership accounts (ads and outreach), set-up event sign-ups to fill positions, communicate with key positions (Board & chairs, city employees, Admin) to give and gather information for volunteer position needs.
