Volunteer: Social Medi Intern

We are seeking a Social Media Intern who will help take our organization to the next level! This individual should help identify, conceptualize, design and execute campaigns to boost engagement, educate and inform our audience about products, services, and company programs. A Social Media Intern will work alongside the Executive Director and the Creative Director. This person should create content calendars, develop and distribute text and video-based content, monitor social media channels and support promotional and marketing efforts.

Someone who thinks outside the box and thinks creatively! Currently enrolled in college and looking for service hours to graduate. Obtaining a bachelor's degree in digital communications or related field such as advertising, journalism or graphic design. Impeccable oral and written communication skills. Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, etc. Knowledge of social media analytics software. Interested in social media trends. Available to work at least 5-10 hours per week or more. Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Volunteer: Fundraising and Communications Intern

We are seeking a Fundraising and Communication Intern who will help take our organization to the next level! Camp Agape raises funds each year from grants, fundraisers, companies, individuals, and events to support projects which improve the lives grieving children and their families. It will be of particular interest to someone wanting to gain knowledge of and experience supporting fundraising in all streams. As an intern, you will provide general support to the team, both virtually and in person events. You will work towards setting and achieving fundraising targets with the Executive Director.

Obtaining a bachelor's degree in Fundraising or related field such as marketing, social work or communications. Impeccable oral and written communication skills. Research content for and draft email blasts to donors, supporters and other interested parties using Mail Chimp Research and create events that will supply the organization with funds. The duties for this position would be as follows:

Core:

Participate in strategy level discussions regarding all online properties and forms of engagement. Make edits to websites including photos, text, pages, blogs, and videos. Assist in design and craft of all promotional materials - print and digital. Develop content for volunteers, donors, and campers in the way of newsletters, press releases, etc. Work in a brand-new registration software in building out registration templates for Camp Registration, Donor Offerings, and Volunteer Management.

Possible:

Work as a Google Workspace Administrator in managing multiple shared drives and users. Assist in launch of future Podcasts, including concepting, writing, booking, and posting. Some Social Media work may be required.


What you will walk away with:

A solid knowledge of digital media and how the different pieces work together. The role public relations can play in an organization - no matter how small. Tools and essential knowledge by which to craft and edit images for social or web. How to work within a board position and committee inside of an organization. How to work with many different elements of a WordPress site, from set up to changes after go live. Physical LIVE! work that you can show to future employers that will be used. (No pencil pushing or getting coffee here.)

 

What We Would Like To See:

Years of experience: 0 - 2 yrs of experience Prior experience in programs such as WordPress, DIVI, Mailchimp, UltraCamp, Facebook, Canva, Photoshop, Video Editing Software of Any Kind, Google Drive. Coursework / Interests related to the Non-profit, Marketing, Mental Health Sectors. Someone who is open to ideas and takes suggestions well.
