Volunteer: Round Rock Helpers needs volunteers to help provide light "handyman" support for seniors and disabled in the Round Rock area.Round Rock Helpers needs volunteers with general around-the-house fix-it skills. The volunteers will visit the residences of Round Rock area seniors or disabled residents to fix concerns identified by the client. Each Friday morning Round Rock Helpers creates teams of two or more volunteers to visit client residences and perform minor home maintenance tasks. The jobs are selected and scheduled so that all work is completed between 9:00am and noon on Fridays. Typically, three to five teams are formed each week and each team will have two to three clients to visit. The jobs range from air filter and smoke alarm battery replacements to any minor home repair including wheelchair entry ramp construction.
