Needs From: The Volunteer Center

Volunteers, Teens, Troops and Groups

We need your help on July 4th!  The Volunteer Center is looking for volunteers of all ages to assist with the following: Vendor Check-In, Ice Sales and Distribution for Vendors, Managing the Pepper Eating Contest, Info Booth, & Lost and Found.

Shifts Available: 8:00am-11:00am (help with vendor set up, etc), 11:00am-2:00pm (kick-off at 12), 2:00pm-6:00pm (this shift will help with the pepper eating contest, always a lot of fun!!).

*Frontier Days kicks off at noon! Get ready for an afternoon of patriotic fun at Old Settlers Park with live music, Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, a sizzling Pepper Eating Contest, vendors, activities, and more! Wrap up the night with a dazzling fireworks show at dark, because nothing says U.S. of Yay like a sky full of sparkles!

Create Hygiene Kits that are distributed to schools, shelters, hospitals and crisis centers throughout Williamson County.

This is a home/business based project. Credit Hours: 1 bag = 2 hours

Supplies:

1 gallon Ziploc bags Bar of Soap Shampoo Deodorant Toothpaste Toothbrush Pocket Tissue and/or wipes Small brush/comb You are welcome to add other appropriate items to the bag (examples: non-perishable food items, small game or book, sunscreen, chapstick, body wash, etc.) Please use full-sized items (NOT travel size)

 

Instructions:

 

Purchase supplies.  Pack each bag neatly and seal it.  Feel free to include a nice note or card. Call The Volunteer Center to set up a time to bring in your bags.

 

*Items may be purchased at Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree or any store that sells the appropriate materials.

Volunteers make no-sew fleece blankets and add a stuffed animal to make blanket buddies! These are given to children living in crisis shelters, in the hospital or to other area nonprofit organizations.
