We support and encourage Child Protection Professionals and support staff in DFPS CPS Region 7 - supporting lower turnover rates, retaining foster parents and helping children in foster care gain permanency faster.

Volunteers may assist by:
- Assembling Car Kits
- Help with Visitation and Rainbow Rooms
- Supporting Appreciation Events
- Organizing Special Events/Preparing Small Gestures

Social Empowerment Texas exists to empower Child Protection Professionals in Texas by providing encouragement, relationship and support so that they stay in their job longer, support children towards permanency quicker and foster parents foster longer.

We are looking for a person (or a few!), church, or community group that is open to supporting events or CPS needs directly in the community, as they come up. Please reach out and let us know what community in Region 7 you live in.

Geographic Focus:
Social Empowerment Texas serves all Region 7 counties through the Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS) including: Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Bosque, Brazos, Burleson, Burnet, Caldwell, Coryell, Falls, Fayette, Freestone, Grimes, Hamilton, Hays, Hill, Lampasas, Lee, Leon, Limestone, Llano, Madison, McLennan, Milam, Mills, Robertson, San Saba, Travis, Washington, and Williamson. There are over 250 DFCS offices employing roughly 13,000 staff across Texas, estimating over 1,400 in the 28 DFCS offices within region 7.

Once a month maximum and is often flexible based on work or personal schedules
