Volunteer: Horse HandlerIn most cases, the horse handler will remain in control of the horse
throughout the session. In some therapeutic riding class, depending upon the level of independence of the rider and at the discretion of the instructor, the horse handler may or may not have control over the horse. Regardless, the horse handler remains in constant awareness of the horse’s movement and behavior and is prepared to step in
to take control of the horse at all times.
