Walk committee positions:
Logistics (Event Planner): Experience gained-event planning, 5k layout, development, and recruitment
-Help plan the walk
-Design walk layout
-Look for route entertainment
-Secure donations
AIM (Campaigner): Experience gained- public policy
-Responsible for helping recruit new AIM members and advocates from all sectors of the community
Mission (Ambassador): Experience gained- story telling, relationship building, and marketing.
-Capture walker’s stories
-Share stories to the public
- Work with other committees to share walk mission
Marketing (Promoter): Experience gained- marketing, advertising, and social media advertising
-Market the walk through newspaper, television, and social media advertisement
-Help committee seek marketing opportunities
-Plan walk awareness days with businesses and the city
Retention (Relationship builder): Experience gained- relationship building, public speaking, and event planning.
-Make calls and connect with last year’s teams to help the register for 2017 walk
-Help with past team kickoffs and walk celebration party
Recruitment (Networker): Experience gained- public speaking, networking, marketing, and recruiting
-Recruit new teams for the walk.
-Help the committee plan new team kickoff
-Post walk posters in locations across Austin.
Sponsorship (The salesperson): Experience gained- development, fundraising, and building corporate relationships.
-Help the chair target new potential sponsors
