Who We Are
“A Place of Hope and Healing,” this organization provides basic assistance with food, clothing, and emergency shelter.
The Pantry’s Thrift Shop, “Coat of Many Colors,” is open on Tuesdays, 1-3pm and on Saturdays, 9:30-11:30am.
The Food Pantry is not subsidized by any government program, but, as a Partner Agency of the Capital Area Food Bank in Austin, we are able to purchase discounted food each month.
We are so grateful for the food drives and charitable donations, which frequently appear at just the right time to help to meet the current need.
There are no paid staff and all charitable donations and purchases at the thrift shop go back into the ministry to help meet the expenses of providing food, clothing and emergency shelter. Donations can be mailed to Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry and Community Ministries, P. O. Box 249, Taylor, Texas 76574.
What We Do
Our mission is to show the love of God to people in and around Taylor by providing basic assistance with food, clothing, and emergency shelter, offering hope and help to all.
Shepherd's Heart strives to be a place of hope and healing where individuals come to receive assistance to meet their basic needs for food, clothing, and emergency shelter; hear about the abundant life found in Christ; and be touched by the Good Shepherd while finding practical help for today, faith for tomorrow, and love that's eternal.
Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry is a partner agency of the Capital Area Food Bank. The Pantry is a faith-based partnership between the Taylor Area Ministerial Alliance and a group of volunteers dedicated to serving the Taylor community.
