What is Amplify Austin?

A local Austin non-profit I Live Here, I Give Here started Amplify Austin in 2013 because they felt like it was time for people to have the same sense of pride and connection for its homegrown nonprofits that Austinites feel for its local businesses and unique environment. I Live Here, I Give Here was formed in 2007 with the mission to make Central Texas a place where philanthropy thrives. They want to inspire people to invest their time and money into the community they live in. Their main purpose is to educate and connect people with nonprofits who champion causes that they care about.

Our community depends on nonprofits to inspire us and to meet the community's basic needs. However, shortage of funds can create gaps in those crucial services. This 24-hour "festival of giving" provides an easy and fun way for the entire community to give together and help hundreds of different nonprofits that are meeting critical needs.

There are ways to participate in Amplify Austin other than donating - contact one of your favorite nonprofits to see if they are participating and host a "watch" party, encouraging others to give and join in on the fun!
